WINTER SEMESTER 2020/2021 IN LIGHT OF COVID19
In light of the coronavirus epidemic, the main priority of Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow is to ensure the safety and health of all students and staff. We want to be sure that all our decisions are based on government sanitary measures.
If the situation allows, we intend to start all classes in a face-to-face way from the beginning of the Winter semester 2020/2021. Therefore, currently we are accepting the exchange students for the Winter semester as well.
However, since the situation is uncertain, we might be forced to adopt different scenarios for conducting classes, e.g. we might offer the hybrid programme (combining physical classes and online classes) or switch to only online learning, depends on the situation. Nevertheless, we would like to assure you, that despite the decision (which might be clear later, even in September), the all incoming foreign students would be treated in the same way as the domestic students.
Furthermore, we have taken the following measures in regards to the student exchange in the Winter semester 2021/2020:
- nomination and application deadlines were extended till 30th of June,
- already nominated students for the Winter semester are allowed to switch their mobility semester to the spring, if it would be necessary,
- we advise all our prospective incoming students to proceed with all necessary formalities but NOT booking flights nor accommodation yet – students will be updated about possibilities in this matter in regards to the Polish government/ the University decision in a timely manner.
We hope that the situation comes back to normal and all planned exchange is possible to carry out in a standard way, starting from October 1st, 2020.
