ATTENDANCE - according to the University regulations attendence during the whole semester is compulsory.

PUNCTUALITY - being late for classes is disrespectul for teachers and students.

  • Respect the admission hours
  • Respect the deadlines for sending your works
  • Respect the office hours of your teachers
  • Observe and respect the rules and the regulations of the University, Library, etc.
AT FIRST CLASSES
  1. Introduce yourself to your teacher.
  2. Make sure your English level is adequate to the group - ask the teacher for advice. Decide if you stay at this subject and this group.
  3. Ask your teacher for a contact email and exact office hours. Note them down! You will need them during and by the end of the semester during exams! IRO do not have such information.
  4. Ask for the assessment form.
  5. Ask each teacher about their policy for absence excuse!
  6. Ask Polish students for some contacts.
  7. Ask Polish students for the email of the group (if used) or a link to a facebook group (if exists). You will need these!
SCHEDULE (pl:harmonogram)

Students are registered to courses by IRO (no individual online registration) and they can check the schedule of their courses at Virtual University account. 

Generally, schedules of courses are available at each Institute’s website and linked in the excel lists of courses in foreign languages available on IRO website in section "education offer". You will need them during the first 2 weeks of the semester while you will be deciding about the changes to your LA.

Types/forms of classes:
- lecture (pl wykład)

- workshops (pl ćwiczenia)
- discussion class (pl konwersatorium)
- practical class (pl zajęcia praktyczne)
- seminar (pl seminarium)
- lectures&workshops (pl wykład&ćwiczenia) - some courses consist of lectures and workshops and in order to pass them, both types must be followed. Remember that they might be run on different days during a week and by two different teachers. At Virtual University courses are visible as two separate ones, but the ECTS credits are assigned to the lecture only (e.g.).

MOBILITY DOCUMENTS
  • Keep them in one portfolio (you are responsible for your own documents)
  • Create one electronic folder on your computer where you save all documents – remember to save each updated LA!
  • Keep them easily searchable and accessible
UNIVERSITY ONLINE SYSTEM (Virtual University)

International students receive access (id and password) to their individual profiles on the University system called Virtual University (pl: Wirtualna Uczelnia) by IRO at the begining of their mobility at Ignatianum.

2. in the form of emails (you are going to receive emails from the secretariat/ IRO/ your teachers/ colleagues)

3. on the front page of your VU account after you log in

! Use translator or ask for help in case information is passed in Polish !
